WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We are located at 2915 Red Hill Avenue, Suite C105, Costa Mesa CA 92626. We are in the Stone Mill Design Center – cross street is Bristol.  An appointment is required for tastings. 

DO YOU HAVE ANY READY MADE BAKED GOODS AVAILABLE IF I WALK IN?

We are not a retail storefront, therefore all our offerings are baked to order and advance notice is required.    

HOW FAR AHEAD DO I NEED TO PLACE MY ORDER?

We recommend placing your order about two weeks prior to your social event and three to six months out prior to your wedding date. We do book out at certain times of the year so it’s highly recommended to place a deposit as soon as you’re ready.

DO YOU DELIVER?

We deliver anywhere in Orange County.  Deliveries are limited to other counties and is based on availability of staff so it is on a case by case basis.  We always welcome pickups at our shop if the cake is 1-2 tiers or just desserts are ordered. 

DO YOU SET UP WHEN DELIVERING?

Cake deliveries are inclusive of set up and styling of flowers and botanicals on the cake because we prefer to finish our own cakes based on our design vision! Our mini dessert set up starts at $50.00/hour and includes arranging all dessert items onto existing cake stands or ones that you’ve opted to rent from us. 

CAN I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A TASTING? IS THERE A FEE?

Our tastings are by appointment only. If you have booked a venue we are a Preferred Vendor at, the tasting is complimentary for 2 flavors.  Additional flavors are $12 each.  Otherwise a minimum order of $500 is required for a 2-flavor complimentary tasting.  If your budget is under $500, you can order as many samples as you’d like and they are $12 each and up to $24 will be credited back if you book atleast 100 servings with us. 

CAN I ORDER A CAKE OTHER THAN A WEDDING CAKE?

Yes. We offer custom cakes for other celebrations too – baby and bridal showers, birthdays, graduation, retirement, office parties, etc…We also offer pre-designed cakes that you can order directly through our website. - please see our Order Online tab.

CAN I RENT CAKE STANDS AND DISPLAY PIECES? HOW MUCH WILL IT BE?

Yes, we have a small inventory of cake pedestals and platters available for rent. They range from $8-$25 per item. We do not offer a strike service, therefore you will need return the items to our studio within 3 business days after the event. A credit card is required to secure a rental order – a security deposit will be temporarily charged while the items are in use and it will be refunded upon return of all items in original condition. 

what is your payment policy?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your order and date; the remaining 50% is due 1 month prior to your event, at which time no further changes can be made. Your order is not confirmed until we have received your signed contract and 50% non-refundable deposit. Payments can be made by cash, check, or credit card. Cake orders placed with less than 1 monnth notice require payment in full by cash or credit card at the time of signing the wedding contract (or invoice for other orders) and are non-refundable.

HOW IS THE PRICING DETERMINED?

Our pricing is based on the number of servings and the complexity of the design. The more detail, the more it will cost.

HOW BIG OF A CAKE DO I NEED TO FEED MY GUESTS?

Our cakes are based on number of servings.  Single tier cake serves 12-35; Two tier cakes serves 35-115; 4 tier cakes serves 125-150; We also offer faux tiers to give you the look of a bigger cake without the extra servings. We offer our high quality sheetcakes to help serve larger weddings.

HOW MUCH ARE THE MINI DESSERTS?

Our mini desserts range from $2 – $4. each piece depending on types and flavors. Custom designs can be added to some of our desserts for an additional cost.

IS THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER ON AN ORDER?

There is a $250 minimum for a custom cake, but sometimes we’ll make an exception. 

HOW much will my cake cost?

Here at Grace and Honey Cakes we don’t just make cake, we make edible art. Each custom cake design is priced independently based on the number of servings and the intricacy of details. Cakes are priced by the slice and average pricing ranges from $6-$9 for buttercream and $8.00-$13.00 for fondant. This means that if you have 100 guests expect to pay somewhere between $600.00-$1,300.00, or possibly more if the design is highly detailed. We currently have a minimum order of $500 for weddings. 

can you accommodate any diet restrictions: Gluten Free, sugar free, nut free?

At this time, Grace and Honey can not make any cakes/desserts to accommodate any diet restrictions. All are cakes are made with real dairy and wheat flour only. We use the following nuts in this facility: almonds, pistachios, hazelnuts. We recommend if you have any peanut or nut allergy, to avoid our bakery or purchase at your own risk as we cannot control where our raw ingredients are processed and we are often making multiple flavors at once so there is always a risk of cross contamination.

We use all real butter and cream in all our cakes and fillings (no artificial ingredients like shortening or commercial fake “whipped cream” – yuk!) You will not find our unique flavors anywhere else in Orange County, not to mention our focus is on flavor and not on excessive sweetness! Now let’s talk design – we want to know about you and your wedding and will use this to create a personalized bespoke cake design perfectly suited for your wedding. We don’t ask you to pick from a preselected group of designs, we want to make it unique for you!
